Object Name:
Fish Delivery Sleigh
This is a very old rare and unusual horse drawn light bob sleigh that was used to deliver and sell fish. It has bins built into the sleigh which held the fish. Bobsleds were made with two sets or runners. The name comes from the bobbing up-and-down movement of the sled's runners. These sleds were constructed to support many horse drawn wagon bodies for winter use.

This sleigh was owned by D.W. Babbitt & Son, of Lebanon, New Hampshire.
