Object Name:
Yale Laundry Wagon
The Yale Laundry was located at 2417 Curtis Street in Denver, Colorado. This is a light duty commercial cut under delivery wagon. This wagon has double doors on the back with a small window to allow light in the back of the enclosed wagon. It has a wooden dash and double bend shafts for one horse to pull. Delivery wagons often served the dual purpose of utility and traveling advertisement, but many firms whose services did not require the use of a wagon operated attractive and colorfully decorated vehicles solely to bring their service or product to the attention of the public. This wagon's logo was "Send it to the Laundry".

One of the basic principles of advertising - the repetitive presentation of a name, idea or service in a tasteful and elegant manner - found ideal application in the Yale Laundry wagon.
